Has anyone been to Croatia before?

Do you need a Visa or anything. I have tried looking at the tourisum site but could not find any info.

I was in Croatia two years ago city. As jaxy said, you don't need a visa. There were three of us, all late 30s blokes and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday there. It's a really nice country and the people are very friendly. We flew into Dubrovnik, stayed there a few days and then travelled round a few of the islands before coming back to stay in Cavtat, which is about 10-15 miles south of Dubrovnik. If you do go there I'd definitely recommend seeing some of the islands. If you hire a car like we did just check to see which ferries take cars and which don't, as that may influence where you visit.

You dont need a visa, but expect to be held up for a while getting in, especially if you're a group of lads. It's not the usual go on go on are ye all Irish yeah job you get in some places around here.

I'd definately recommend Croatia, perhaps going to Split and some of the islands like Hvar, have a great night life without being Spain-like if you're looking for something different

Ah yeh! I'm going back to Dubrovnik on Sunday so I'll have 4 stamps! Been all over Europe but very few other places stamp your passport although I got one or two while interrailing...

Have to make do with fridge magnets instead

A search of this forum will yield so many results....

From my experience, Split, Hvar and Korcula are miles nicer than Dubrovnik.

Croatia is lovely but i would prefer Slovenia myself. Ljubliana is a nice funky city and Lake Bled is class. Montenegro is also nice and an added bonus is that Ireland play Montenegro on 10th Sept this year in the World Cup qualifiers..

This year as somewhere different I will be going to Biarritz and San Sebastian because I haven't been to North Spain / South France before.

Another place I would love to try is Odessa in Ukraine. Downsides are that it is quite far and can be expensive to get to.
