Diesel Beer

Ok,
Ive been looking for this beer for a while now as i want to order some for my 21st. All the off licenses userd to sell it up until about 1 and a half years ago. For about 1€ a bottle. It was and still is our favourite beer as it was so so good.
It even had a twist cap and on the underside of the lid was printed a card number (Eg 3Hearts, K Spades etc) so drinking games were made so easy.

Me and my mates used to drink it by the barrell full. An we have been looking for it since it went off shelves

Does anyone know if its possible to find any around? even to buy over the net or something, of if its available to pubs and bars, since my uncle owns a pub i can get him to order for me if possible.

Is it the beer with coke stuff?

Germans are mad into but i have never tried it

I supose if some form of alcopop, haven't seen it around

Korvanica, I remember paying 50c a bottle for it in Whelan's, but I haven't seen it in ages. If it's not on sale in Whelan's I'd say it's gone from the market altogether. Alternatively, get your uncle to talk to the Great All-Knowing Wally, ex of Eurobeers. If he doesn't know I doubt anyone else will.

Anyway, googling around I see there's a coke-beer-kirsch mix called Kirsch Goiß. Lovely.

worked in a pub in germany.. as far as i remember.. Diesel is a mixture of Coke and Beer.. Spetzi is a mixture of coke and orange - as a matter of interest, Coca Cola actually market this in Germany under the name of Mezzo Mix - a mix of coke and fanta - suprisingly good - alot nicer than those "cocktails" you made as a fanta filled kid!

However this does not answer your original q of where to buy the drink - maybe try it yourself 1/3 coke 2/3 beer..

hey oblivious.. have tried it.. but not with banana puree more banana juice which we had in our pub - presume nothing like the real thing! However was still quite good.. We used to drink banana juice topped with cherry juice - think it came by the name if Kiba or something along those lines.. Hefe Weisen beer - miss it so much!

No it is not the german cock mix. That stuff is not good. Im talkin about an american beer, also has a light version if i remember correctly..

Why miss it when Schneiderweiss, Weihenstephaner, Pualanner, Schofferhofer, Franziscaner, Erdinger, Heidelberger and a few more are all available in Ireland.

If it's the one i'm thinking of, it tasted like an american cock mix of coors light and budwieser. (I still drank 10 bottles of it at the time:p. shop was closed when i tried to bring them back)
Last time i saw it was probably over a year ago in Booze 2 Go up by Dorset St. Haven't been in there since, so couldn't tell you if/when they stopped selling it.
