Its for a 3 bed prewired house

That doesnt sound awful high to me? What kind of system were you getting?

    How many control panels,
and how many doors and windows were you putting sensors on?

I kmnow of someone that does them for about 700 for a standard 3 bed semi, he put in the inlaws (2 houses) and serviced our already installed system

The DIY ones from argos are supposed to be very good, very cheap also but do the job.

Any chance you could let us know who the company is, as others could search for the same thing, and would find it handy, also some free advertising for the co in question.
