Printing Issue with MacBook Pro

    Hi guys,

I have a Macbook pro that I am trying to get to work with a network (windows server 2003) printer. Initally I was getting a message in the print queue "On Hold: Authentication Required". After a bit of googling i resolved this by modifing the printer path in CUPS to include the username and password.

    smb://username: password@server/share name

But now the doucment will go to the printer, clear from the print queue on the mac, i can see it leaving the printer queue on the windows server, but nothing prints off.
I was getting the error on two other printers as well but the above fix resolved those and documents print off ok on them, it's just one printer (OKI C5250) that is causing problems.

    Any ideas?

Updated: The printer is displaying "Invalid data" on it's interface when i tried testing it with a similar model printer. Would this be a driver issue on the mac?

Just so you know, turns out it's actually a compatability issue between Macs and some of the older model OKI printers.
