I was interviewed recently when I rejoined the club.

I wouldn't be too worried. I'd imagine they'll pitch a few questions around the social aspects of the club - do you know any other members? are you looking to meet new golfing partners? would you attend dinners and functions etc - you know, show yourself to be joining the club for reasons other than just 18 holes once a week.

I'm not sure how new to the game you are. If you're fairly new they might ask you what your ettiquette is like. I'd base a response around someone with experience who you've learned from or are learning from and that you are eager to refine your awareness of the nuances of golfing ettiquette. (this is in interview-speak obviously)

It's hard to know what they'll ask but generally I'd just say show your enthusiasm for the game and your intention to integrate yourself into the club.

Oh one more thing - a good thing to throw in arround the ettiquette question if it comes up might be something like "as a new golfer I pay extra attention to my own speed of play" and mention little things like leaving your bag on the next-tee side of the green your putting on, being ready to hit immediately after the guy before you has hit etc.

It's just that many commitees make a huge deal about slow play and they may seek to emphasise this to new members/golfers so might be impressive to beat em to it.

Went fine - 10min chat - very casual and friendly.
