You're not trying to kill someone with it are you! :p

There's various Piano stores in Dublin, if you check out google or the golden pages for one near you. I'd say most of these stores should sell piano wire.

Yes, have done the usual poisonings, shootings, and stabbings and just looking to try something different for a change.:D

Not having much luck with my wire though. Phoned the big piano shops in Dublin but they say they have the wire but only for their own use. They would be happy to send a technician to do the job for me though!
So found the sellers in the UK - they will only sell to 'trade' even though I am happy to buy full reels.

There seems to be some sort of trade closed shop going on.

Searching the net it seems the only way for the amatuer piano maintainer is to import from the USA. Annoying.

That's probably due to the risk involved tbh.

What risk? Do that many people really use piano wire as a garrotte??

    Hi Sandwich,

we may be able to help you obtain some pianowire. We are not located in dublin (about 1.5 hours south in County carlow) but may be able to post or arrange to meet you in Dublin (up regularly). We can be contacted via www.thepianogallery.ie, or email via info@thepianogallery.ie

Not sure about the dangers of garrotting - but stringing a piano can be slightly hazardous!!
