    ive googled for this and all that but couldnt find it, does anyone know a site or free program that will display a maths formula/ equation etc properly, like when the squared is smaller and above the number rather tahn x^2, Thanks

    this should do the trick. But if you are only looking to do basic maths equations using superscript and subscripts, you could just do it in word and add them using the format menu
