Seems like a really good structure for this Carlo, especially the 40 min clock.

Should make this, all going to plan

Structure for this looks very good. Seeing as I'll be away for the one's down here, I've pencilled this in. Will be in touch about b+b etc in mid-May. I'll try and get a few more from Killarney too. Is there anything planned locally for Sat night? Even a sat into the sat?

Nothing planned for the Saturday night as of yet. If I got enough interest though I'd def run a sat on the sat for the sat

Yeah have had a good bit of interest locally from our players in Boyle and Tubbercurry for this. So i think we'll run satellites for it every Wedensday leading up to the main Satellite to try and get as many tickets given out as we can.

    Alright Carlo

How are the numbers looking for this? I've been talking to a good few people in Mayo who seem interested.

With the slow structure I'm thinkin about booking the monday off work in case I make it to the final table:D

Alright Brendan, yeah numbers are looking good. Was talking to a few players last night in Carrick and they reckon 5 or 6 of them are coming over as well for it. tbh if we get all that said they're playing then we could get 2 packages given out. Everyone actually turning up on the day is a different story.

Oh yeah....we'll be starting as close to 5pm as we can!!:D

I've been asked the past few days by a number of people about the option of taking the cash as opposed to taking the package to Vegas and playing in the main event.

We need 23 players in order to give away package, and if we get 23 players(already have 11 registered) then there will be one prize(the package). Anything over 23 and it will be cash.

It's pretty pointless us advertising the event as a WSOP satellite and then not give out a package once the minimum requirement of players is achieved. So far we've had a great response to the event and the people we are targeting are those who are either going to vegas for the main event anyways(and want to win a package) and those who genuinely want to play the satellite with the notion of going to Vegas and playing if they win.

One or two have suggested that we should give those the option of taking the cash alternative instead of the package....but then whats the point of advertising it as a WSOP satellite? There are plenty of big buying games around with cash prizes so I don't see what the problem should be.

I hope this has cleared up any confusion for those of you who have pm'd me over the past few days.

We just want to get someone over to Vegas.........:D

    Carlo

It's a tricky one Carlo but i think you are right and stick to your guns. We ran a sat for the Irish Open and when the it got heads up the two players agreed to split the money as they were both going to buy in anyway. Cant remember the exact payout but i think it was a ticket for first and 300 for second. Looking back i think it was unfair on 3rd place but in fairness he didnt complain.

As you say there enough big buy in tourneys for players that want that. Next time i run a sat for any big event, it will be ticket/package only. Gl with this. I never got the posters but everyone down here knows about it anyway at this stage and some are even going to miss the CPT in Knock to play it...

Cheers muscles. Yeah its hard to suit everyone but you have to draw the line somewhere!

Yeah CPT will potentially take a few players away, but they may not be interested in Vegas. Should be a good tourney either way. I'll more than likely do a live update on the www.4ofakindpoker.proboards92.com forum for the event...something like you did last w.end. Was a good idea.

    25 runners.

Keith McFadden took it down. €8000 first place. He's on a pretty sick run lately. €12000 last w.end in the emporium as well.

Tony Rafter and Fintan Gavin were also amoung those playing. Rafter ran into AA with his KK on the final table and was crippled.
