The camera you use shouldn't really make that much difference, in terms of basic settings.
Depending on the light available, you should use the fastest shutter speed possible. To get blurred backgrounds, you should use the widest aperture possible.

This picture was taken in the rain, last Sunday.

Sports photography is about knowing your camera and knowing the sport.

    Thanks ken.

Photo-sniper - your exact settings will depend on the sport and the weather. Usually you want a fast shutter speed, and enough ISO to get that. A low aperture (under f/4) would tend to work best too.

So, it'll depend on your equipment, the amount of light, and your subject.
