    Hi

I am a big fan and have to say the vast majority are hits - with only a few misses in my opinion.

My favourites : "Dark Rivers of the heart" , "From the corner of his eye" ,"False Memory"

    Dark Rivers of the Heart
    The Servants of Twilight
    Chase
    Hideaway
    The Vision
    The Voice of the Night
    The Key to Midnight
    Strange Highways
    Darkness Comes
    Dragon Tears

I have read all of the above, and although it's been a few years since, I don't remember any of them being a bad read.

thanks folks ...the reason i posted was i rented out "by the light of the moon" yesterday in my library and read the first 100 pages and while good it did not suck me in like "the good guy" so i was wondering was he hit and miss..

I thought Watchers was brilliant, also Lightning, Strangers and Midnight were very good.

I thought "By the light of the moon" was too long and so I didn't enjoy it as much as others I've read of his. The Taken is the most frightening book I have EVER read in my life. It was enough to practically send me back to religion and bottles of holy water! He's a good storyteller I think.

I'm not the biggest fan of Dean Koontz but even I loved 'From the corner of his eye'. It's unputdownable and the characters are really well written and........strange!

He has some great ideas, but then he goes and puts in a load of mawkish sentimental drivel which ruins a lot of it for me. It's just way too much for me so I stopped reading him.

I can't remember many of the titles, but one of the better ones for me was Lightning Road. False Memory wasn't too bad, and I think the premise was borrowed from an earlier book "Night Chills", which also dealt with hypnotic control, but through subliminal advertising.

Someone like Stephen King is very hit and miss, but when he gets it right then you're looking at a modern classic.

Koontz is slightly more middle of the road for me, but if you can stomach the Hallmark Card crap, most of them are OK.

Has anyone here read "Velocity" by Dean Koontz? If they make a movie of it, the character Ralph Cottle has to be played by Harry Dean Stanton. Is Harry Dean Stanton alive? Do you know who I mean–Harry Dean Stanton? Does anyone have any information? I'd really like to know. Will there be a movie? With Harry Dean Stanton?
