Is there an actual players committee or do you just post for them because you want to?>

There is one indeed. I've never been asked to be on it though :( . I don't think they do an awful lot though, but since I'm not in the circle of 6 (I think) I'm not sure.

I have no idea what the player comittee does if anything, but in fairness most of those would offer absolutely nothing constructive in terms of 'player views'. I have heard Joe and Pat give their views about tournies for example, and if they were followed I would play much less of them than I currently do, never mind Stewies view on it. Presumably, given this, you have no say into anything of the sort, so therefore it is only a 'for show' thing?

Not really the point of the thread I know, but sure, it's as interesting as the next point.

Basically they want feedback on improvements Re: structures etc., cosmetic things re: the club etc., etc., They listened to players comments on the front desk re-vamp. etc.,

They are hoping to run a festival in October and I think that they should advertise now, run a Weekly Satellite starting now, rather than a month before hand, and also do online satellites. They have done a few changes in the tournaments which work, but I feel the big problem in Dublin is that there is too many really good well structured tournaments on the same night.

We are spoilt for choice, good for punters, bad for the clubs and numbers for games.

Anyway, can we change the world Nop, but again if you have any suggestions on how to improve tournaments etc., give me a shout.

I already saw the festival thing and got a few things changed from the original as well and agree about advertising it early and have said that to Nic, Denise, Marq etc for monts, since the last disaster. At the end of the day though it'll be in the clubs interest, not the players.

Pat Vickers thinks the end of month should end by 2.30 at the latest, and was telling me so last week only. Don't let him away if he says that sort of stuff too often.

Pat thinks that they should have running antes from early on in all tournaments:eek::eek:. At the end of the day the majority of people want a well structured tournament, good for play etc., If you win the thing you won't mind 2 hours sleep. Don't worry those ideas were and will continue to be well and truly squashed... Norman resigned because he didn't want to fall out with Denise, don't know much of the in's and out's.

well with women running the world - no we won't change it - lets hope hillary doesn't win the election. :D:D

The few tournaments that i do play and think are grand - only one little thing that is kinda annoying - break can go on for a little too long - which is understandable as the club want to make money on the floor, but meh...
