hi, basically we're looking to get our dad something along the lines of a blackberry for his birthday. he's into everything technical and loves gadgets but as you might guess from my post the rest of us haven't got a clue!

So i'm wondering if any of you might be able to offer any advice on what to get/not get? A couple of the models we were looking at are HTC P3600, iPhone, MWg Atom Life, Nokia E65i and some of the Blackberrys. Hope I got those names right! A few of the things he'd probably want are Wi-Fi, ability to read files off emails (Word, Excel etc), good responsiveness(especially if touchscreen) and a camera and radio would be good extras!

Anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    When is his b'day?
He a pc man or mac?
Do you think mere reading of docs is enough, or would he like to be able to edit/change them (say he gets an email with a text draft... Some models will only let him read it...some will let him make change, so he can email the corretc version back!)...
    The atom is niiiiiice!

his b'days wed-we're leaving it short I no! altho if we've to order it he won't mind it being late.
yeah the atom looked good alright-can you edit files on that? i'd say he'd prefer to be able to edit on it, it'd b annoying to be able to read emails but have to wait til your home to fix things on the computer!
Any problems with the atom? he's more a pc man than mac that's why we're not sure would he like the iphone.
