MMA League Limerick 08 Results

26-04-2008 6:56pm#1Just back from the latest round of the League in Limerick and what an event it was! THe standard comes up all the time and today's matches stood out as being very evenly matched at all skill levels and a whole pile of fun, for the fighters and the spectators alike!
Big thanks to FightLord for their continuing support, havingt he stand their adds a lot to the events.
Word of warning to the Point Blank guys - I picked up a pair of sneaky OTM Grip Shorts that I'll be putting to work next week in the gym, these shorts are allowed in the league and given the extra edge they give you, I have no doubt they will be big sellers!
Thanks to all the fighters, coaches and spectators who travelled for the event, without you all the league would have dwindled away long ago, but as always special thanks to a couple of people without whom the day couldn't have run as smoothly as it did.
Tim and Colm for calling it straight down the middle, in the absence of Clive most controversial decision was a lot closer, but Tim takes it this time by a hair
Aaron and the UL crew for organising everything at the event, Aaron was under serious pressure getting the venue organised so thanks again for all the effort.
Darragh and Alan for ushering, time keeping and working the laptop.
I hope I haven't left anybody out there, but thanks to all the other people that made life easier at the event, although we didn't beat the 12 noon start time goal, we are getting closer.

No Mark, thank YOU! a great event by all accounts, and also, another quick word of thanks to all the staff at fightlord for the lovely fairtex gloves! I promise I'll pay the full price at the next league!:D
But on a more serious note it was a great event, just as good, if not better than the Galway leg, it went smoothly throughout and without any problems, everyone was matched up evenly as usual and there was some great fights, I saw a big improvement since Galway in all fighters that I remember from it, the fastest sub has to be a record now at 28 secs!0 -

Ha ha would this incident be the tap tht u shouted out just as the time was up???? great event though, Any chance of the legue coming down to the south east???? like waterford IT or something??? It'd be great not getting up at 7 in the mornin!!!0 -
