im assuming Vista Home Prem is on it?
Yes Vista Premium, bought one myself for the graphics card which is great on a PC this price. Not a great card but will play Quake 4,oblivium,call of duty 4 with a little tweaking of resolution etc. Crysis will even run at 10fps at lowest settings.More infomation here http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/?pn=PB80X19701&g=1400

The system is pretty good. If you stuck a good graphics card in there it would be a pretty decent gaming machine for next to nothing. A 3850/3870/9600gt should work in that no bother and would give a good performance boost in games at quite a low cost.

Seems good for the price, though if you go to Dell it's also possible to get similarly spec'd Vostro machines for the same price. The only difference would be the card, which is dedicated here, though I wouldn't advise anyone to heed this advise:

Yes the price is technically good for the machine, but the 8400Gs is a low end card and worth about 20 euro second hand, about 30 new - anyone buying the machine specifically thinking they were getting a great deal owing to the card would be misinformed . You'd be disappointed with this card if you were looking at buying a new machine with gaming in mind, it's more for the individual who doesn't mind playing the odd game at low-mid settings and primarily uses the machine for other things. Though that said I think you're being a little unfair on the card, it can definitely run Crysis far better then 10fps @ lowest settings....(10fps would be choppy, jerky and unplayable)

Though I would agree with this:

Top gaming machine for 400-50 for those who aren't into building their own systems.

You should be able to get it without a monitor as well, handy if you already have one.

PC World are selling the monitor (advent17"LCD) for 199 euros by itself. So you could argue that your getting the PC for 130 Euros.

    is this still available?

is there any other way to contact the shop outside of 1890 number?

    If anyone is interested

they only have display model left which they'll knock 20 euro off so its 230 euro for just the tower.
