I've been a pretty big fan of M83 since I heard Dead Cities, even though the follow up albums in my opinion haven't been as good as Dead Cities (which could be due to the other guy leaving). I was a little unsure about the new album but after seeing them play last night I was won over.

Anyone else see them last night?

Yeah, I was there. I really liked it. Sound was superb, really clear, and they didn't try to deafen us all with volume. The encore made me wish they'd record a straight-up house/techno album.

Hadn't heard of them before but had a look at some album info on discogs and definitely sound like one I should take a listen to.

Kim and Jessie off the new album is a track I'm really loving at the moment.

are they any good live? Or should I rather buy their fully-mastered records?

According to Discogs, he left in 2004 which was before their second album. Been gone a while so :)
