    Hi,

Just wondering if any one has had their homes re wired and how much did it cost. Trying to get a ball park figure. In the middle of buying a house , structural survey came back recommending complete re wiring. The house is 30 years old so it all d original electrics.

its a 3 bed terraced house with sitting room, hall, kitchen. bout 1200sq foot in total

    any help would be great

    Thanks

About 3 to 5 k depending on where you are living and the std/number of fittings being fitted.

While u do not ask about this, before u re-wire are you going to dryline/insulate the walls at a later date, if so the wiring would be much easier.

Also when rewiring consider bringing each room back to the board to its own light and power mcbs, will make life easier when we all get smart metered
