Scab in nose

It was a cut that developed into a scab. I think it has become infected because my nose is non-stop stuffy and congested. My GP prescribed a nasal rinse but it is not working, albeit I have only been using it for a day. It provides temporary relief but I don't think it is the cure.

Will the nasal rinse work, or am I wasting my time not doing something about it?

I used to have a nose stud, the pierced area got infected. I cleaned it three times a day with saline solution, didn't touch it and washed my hands thoroughly with anti bacterial soap, especially before bed, cos it was itchy and I probably touched it while asleep. Cleared up fairly quickly.

I'm assuming the rinse is some kind of antibacterial solution intended to clear up the infection? Give it a chance!

sorry, we can;t give advice on personal medical problems.

It's strictly against the rules, and it's not safe for youb or us.

Hope you get it sorted though.
