currently have a basic 17 channel NTL package (rent a house, its the connection that was here when I moved in). However just checked my bill online and see they have put the price up. Now charge €47 for 2 months which seems steep for what I'm getting.

Have magnet broadband and noticed they have a package for €25 per month with far more channels. Has anyone any experience of their TV service and are there any other good deals out there that people would recommend?

    Thanks

FTA Satellite, about 45 channels free
Or various Sky pay packages, higher quality / more choice than cable / Magnet. Cancel after a year and you have a legal FTA Satellite system.

To be honest, there's no point in not getting digital cable the 17 channel basic analogue package is only a few quid cheaper than the basic digital package which gives you loads of extra channels and generally better reception.

If you don't have many other options like putting up satellite dishes, I would go with UPC Digital. You can also add a box with a hardrive built in for an extra €5 month. Although, I think that's an introductory offer.

If you can though, I'd ditch the cable and go with satellite.
