Bringing the Wii to a party this evening; any recommendations on a game to buy? I have the sports, I'm just looking for something else that's quick to pick up and fun for people who aren't big computer types

Its gotta be mario kart. you dont really need the wheel to play it.

If not - mario and sonic at the olympics is a good party game.

but if it was me going to the party i would bring a board game like articulate - pure class. and a gauranteed hit.

HAvent played either but Mario and Sonic the the olympics and Mario Party 8 have both got good reviews from friends of mine, particularly Mario and Sonic. Its pricy though €65!

    Both Games are Good.
Mario and Sonic is great fun but most of the events need to be unlocked in single user mode and it depends on how many people will be playing.

Mario party 8 is great if you have a group of people, its laid out like a board game with four players.
Its very easy to do teams, say if you had two people in a team, the first person would take a roll of the dice move the amount of spaces and then do a minigame after every player has taken a turn. Then the second player does the same and then its back to the first person

Dont get me wrong its a great game and you will have such a laugh when racing or swimming with a few other people.

I guess it depends on how many people will be playing .
I have played both games with a group of 7.
Waiting for a turn in the olympics one is not to bad as you can have a laugh at people huffing and puffing while trying the different events after a few drinks:)

Mario Party is also good as it keeps everyone involved as your are trying to earn enough money to buy stars.
