    Hi!

Been thinkin of getting this tv for a while now. I will be using it mostly for watchin Standard Definition (SD) from cable (possibly through NTL digital but no plans for SkyHD). And for playing games and Blu-ray on PS3!
I wanna know what this is like watchin SD on it, and if i play Blu-ray on it via PS3, what output signal configuration should i adjust the PS3 to???
Coz the tv will accept 1080p/24fps input and scales down to it's native resolution of 720p. So do i turn the 1080/24 output off or select on or atomatic.

You'll be disappointed tio hear that the 32d3000 has gone outta production.I suppose its replacement is the 32w4000, which is a full hd but i dont think it has the "100hz motionflow" of the d3000.Anyway, many ppl will tell you that that was a total gimmick.I would only get that tv now if i got a really good price on it.How much are you prepared to spend??

No no. long story short -
D3000 series came out last spring.
    Around autumn, it was discontinued.
In December, due to demand, the 32" went back into production, And the 40" was replace by the D3500 series.
They're probably out of production by now coz of the new models being released.
BUT they are still widely available. Even if not from the actual Sony Centres. but who cares, they charge the most.

To answer your question, There's not really budget, but i do wanna shop around, coz lets face it, we're all spendin money on these tvs that will be worth nothin in a few years!!
But I am lookin for a tv, MAX sixe 32" as it's for my bedroom in the attic and it has to go up a ladder!! For use mostly watching SD, Gamin on PS3 and blu-ray.
Any other recommendations would be great too.
    thanks.

This seems to be a good price for that particular tv.

I'd also have a look at this. Its a brand new full hd model and a good price here.Afaik they deliver to ireland for about 25sterling.Still though, thats under 850e for a full hd, good brand 32".I hav'nt seen the sony32w4000 for any less that 1200e yet.....Almost everything hd would look amazing on this.As for sd, samsungs dont have the best rep but sd aint gonna look great on any full hd 'set

Hmmm i know. but i will be watchin SD on it, and from what i hear, it looks worse on a Full HD set than a regular HD set.!
