For those of you who don't check the Bargain Requests subforum regularly.. Tesco have quite a bargain on 'Wii Fit'

They're selling it for €74.95 (which is a helluva lot less than most places). According to the thread in the Bargain Alerts Requests forum, prices are as follows:

    Smyths: €94.99
    HMV: €120 ()
    Gamestop: €89.99

Now €71.99 in Smyths with Loyalty Card (€80 without).

Competition is alive and well in Ireland. :D

Anyone who bought it at full whack (first thing this morning - 95 or 85.99 w/LC) can go back with receipt to get vouchers (allegedly)

Can anyone tell me if I can get one of the Smyth's loyalty cards there and then? Wife's birthday tomorrow and wanted to get her this.

Was in London last few days and could not get it as it was not released till today... could have saved a few quid over there.

Yes you can, Paddy... you just fill in a form, as far as I know.

Just picked it up with the LC - its €71.99. I was told price will go back to normal when Xtravision are finished their launch promotion (after week 1)

Fair play to Smyths for reacting to the market. Its still €89.99 in Gamestop...

The smyths card is 5 yoyos. And when I did it for a different offer, I had to explain to the nice man that it would be benificial for me to buy the card first and then use the card to get 10% off the item I was buying, instead of what he was trying to do which was sell me the card and the item at the same time which meant I couldn't use the discount until next purchase.

Thanks Drakar... I got my card a good few years ago now, so I forgot about paying for it.
That a good tip - buy it first, then ask for Wii Fit!

I tried to buy the loyalty card in Carrickmines today to save a few euros on the Wii Fit, but the guy told me that it would take 10 days to get the card out so i couldn't. He seemed very reluctant to sell me the loyalty card.

    Argos have it for €99.99.

Cheapest UK price is £64 in Tesco with £5 off petrol voucher so that's
    £59 or €75 roughly.

Brian, that's not right at all from that guy.... I was in Carrickmines around 4ish and guy knew exactly what I wanted and put the loyalty through first, took the fiver, and then put the Wii Fit through for €71.9ty something. Sounds like more than their jobs worth to me....

Whats the deal with the Smyths loyalty card? Once you get the card, do you get 10% off anything in Smyths? I've spent hundreds in that place and never heard of it till this thread.

Its only software zone, video games etc, and its 10% new releases. i think there is 2.5% off other stuff but not 100% about the latter

You have to pay for the loyalty cards!!! I took one without thinking you didn't had to pay for it but I would of got one with my Wii so I guess it doesn't matter.

Nice to see at least one company not rippingoff irish consumers!

General price here seems to be €79

UK best price seems to be about £69 which is about €92 when you calculate the extra VAT.

US price is $90 which works out approx. €77 when vat + duty is taken into account.
