i have recently applied k rend to my house (cream) it has faded from its original colour to more white. my plaster says its because of the way the Sun hit it and its drying out different. but at the back of the house which gets the least sun my house is also patchy
it is on about 2 weeks now

any suggestion or knowledge, will it all blend in or will it turn out a disaster???

If it's patchy it's almost certainly because it got wet soon after it was put on, there's nothing you can do with this other than scrape it off and re-do it (or put up with it). It won't "dry out" to a uniform colour.

We have a couple of places which our builder is going to re-do, but you need a guaranteed dry day to do it so it'll be a while before it gets done.

    Hi,

razor8, was there much difference in price between the K-rend and ordinary plaster?

    Could have been mixed incorrectly?

    Razor8,

I realise this is a very old thread, but we have the exact same problem, our wall looks near on identical to the wall in your photo. It was K Rended on Thursday, scratched on Friday and it looked perfect. Saturday the patches started to appear and now on Tuesday the wall looks terrible. I see that you still post in this forum, are you able to give an update on what happened with your wall? At the moment we are nervous to continue with the rest of the house.

    Hope to hear from you,
    thanks

    Richard.
