    Hi, just came back from a lengthy poker break and popped €50 into my old Partypoker account.

    Seems that the new in thing with the kids is cash gaming (well more specifically PLO cash gaming, but I wasn't feeling that adventurous, I've trouble enough with 2 cards) so I decided I'd give it a pop.

    3 tabled ten-max 25nlhe (bought in for €15) and found it just awful. Played for about 2.5 hours and made a total of -€3. The tables were just soo tight and it was zero fun sitting at a table for an hour and my stack only changing by €1.50 from when I bought in.

    Then went and played a few 10max sit and goes, where 95% of the players either thought A4o was the nuts or would only play KK+. I remember at one stage it was 5-handed and it was folded into the BB who was chipleader who showed A5s, 'Like OMG!! Can't believe it was folded into you when held dat sick nutzzz!!!'. To me, quite frankly sit and goes are still where it's at, and I don't think I'm gonna play much more cash until I'm rolled for at least 100nl (although playing that will quickly reduce my bankroll AND enjoyment of poker I'm sure).

    95% of people in a 10 man sit and go is making my head hurt

    1. This place is full of very good players and I want them to tell me the advantages of cashgaming and why it's the most popular form of the game at the moment.

    2. I was taking my screenname for a test-drive.

    Not to worry though, I wouldn't expect someone from Tipperary to understand. Shouldn't you be out at the local playing in the 5-card draw game where Seamus bets his tractor against an acre of Paidis land?? Or Mick check raises his two pair with his daughters hand in marriage??
    :pac::pac:Only messing!

    And also, sitngos are not where its at. Grinding 9mans is worse than bursting a finger hole through toilet paper and catching corn.

    The fact is all poker sucks when your playing busto stakes

    Theres no point in grinding micro cash games.SnG are where its at to build your Bankroll and will probably suit you better

    and then become the value at 100nl

    I am absolutely amazed at someone complaining about playing with people who think A4o is the nuts. Wtf.
