New 3 Modem

I've just seen that Three have just changed there modem again from the ZTE to the Huawei E169. This was very quick, has there been trouble with the ZTE modem. I have one but only have used it a couple of times , and once or twice I have noticed that it was difficult to get it going , not finding any service and all that.
