Adding Contacts in Skype

    So I just downloaded Skype and tried adding my friend as a contact, who was sitting across from me also online. However, no notification came up at all, we tried it both ways. Now she's on my contacts list with just a grey question mark beside her. Anyone know what's the deal with this?

    It might be that one of you have settings set to not allow new contacts?

    Look in the Privacy & Chats & SMS sections & see if anything like "Only people in my contact list" has the radio button ticked on.
