No Irish restaurants in the worlds top 100. How sad.:(

Plus El Buli top restaurant in the world for three years straight, possibly the most amazing hatrick of all time.

Any ideas on the list? anyone eaten in any of the resturants?

No, haven't eaten in any of them... yet.

We're going to head over to the Fat Duck sometime this summer, and I've been DYING to try St John, so might make it a double whammy trip.

Is there any genuine suprise there aren't any Irish ones on that list?!?

I've eaten in two of them. The food was very good but the bill was fairly mindboggling.

I ate in Nobu in NYC and it was toe-curlingly good. Considering the quality, it was great value - we chose a $100 dinner and left the choice to the chefs, so we knew what we were paying. I still think about some of the dishes, and it was almost three years ago.

El Buli is up there of course,
i've tried to get a seat but its pointless,
it sells out for the year in a single day,
then reservations close until next year

Tried them myself a couple of years ago several times. I told them I could take a cancelation at short notice, still nothing...
