This guy was hire for a small gathering the other night that my wife was at, seems he was pretty impressive. Are there a large number of magicians working in ireland?

They're pretty thin on the in Dublin at least tbh. A lot of the ones that are around tend to specialise in kids magic with a bit of clowning thrown in. Off the top of my head, I can only think of five or six.

EDIT: Golden pages lists 11. And google doesn't give many more at a quick glance for "magician dublin"

I personally know one who works in Dublin, and know of another couple. There are 3 working in the Kerry area (one is a clown/magician) and I know a few in Cork. There are also a fair few in Limerick.

Join any IBM ring and you will meet them soon enough.

Welcome to the forum Hackett, didnt meet him myself but my wife was asking him "so whats your "real" name?" Jack Wise is a good choice for a stage name mind you.

I do the Galway circuit and generally all of the west side of Ireland, i also do frequent gigs in Athlone and Mullingar. I did a huge wedding in Dromoland Castle at Xmas, i must have bent about 30 keys that night, i just hope no one needed them to get back home :D

I have known aiden for years now and he is working on a comedy/magic act now.

You can catch him at the hapenny bridge and laughter lounge at various times of the month and even though i have seen him so many times its always funny and very impressive.
