For those interested in Sports Photography, here's a link to the 2007 Sports Shooter competition winners.

Not for the sensitive, since there are some painful shots.

    Stunning images though.

Some great shots, I would wonder about the horse one though. Its a good catch but they wouldnt award a prize for a shot of somebody dying in a sport. Other than that the shot of the catcher in mid air catching a baseball would be my pick.

I also thought the third one was best.

The horse one got me. I don't like seeing anyone (or any animal) break a bone like that.

In my order (of the winning 3), first would be the catcher, 2nd would be the eye gouge in basketball and third would be the horse.

Not sure about the horse one myself, dont get me wrong its a pretty amazing catch, but it is literally the moment that ended the horses life....i find that a little hard to take.

I really like the one of the boxer kneeling in the ring, full of emotion

Such good shots, they really capture the moment. Just going a little bit o/t Paul you said that having a full crowd in an arena can make the pictures even better, I would definitely agree with you, I seen a shot from Newcastles win at the weekend in the paper and it was a fantastic shot and that was because of the crowd in the background.
