Cracked neck

    Hi all,

I made the mistake of leaving my guitar on the couch on night and the next morning the kids accidentally knocked it off. It resulted in a crack at the base of the neck - just above the body. It's the best sounding acoustic I've ever heard - real deep resonant sound so I want to get it repair properly.

As soon as I noticed it I took off the strings to ease the tension on the neck

Can anyone recommend someone who can repair this? tbh price isn't really relevant - I love this guitar and if it keeps the sound it had it's worth any money.

    Sorry to hear.
Probably your best bet for top notch workmanship would be Derrick Nelson up in Marley park Dublin. Be prepared to pay a lot for it though.
Danvel guitars is the name of the Business.

Expect a wait to get it repaired though, he's a very busy man. Worth the wait TBH. :)

Yeah, It may take a while, just be persistent, not in a nagging way, it's just that he tends to forget to get back in touch with you is all. I've had him do some work on a Telecaster of mine, and he really did a brilliant job, he'll set everything up perfectly before giving it back to you.
