Friends passport is up in May, wants to travel next week - possible?

    Well Ive more or less put my query in the title :pac:

    Is it possible or does he need a new passport now that some countries arent accepting passports that are about to expire?

    If you go to the passport office on Molesworth Street I think it is they can issue one for you in one day be prepared to que and make sure he has all the correct stuff with him ie birth cert or whatever. Call to check with them whats required .

    Check the requirements for the country he is going to with the relevant embassy.

    What country is he going to ?

    i travelled to spain two years ago with ryanair on an expired passport. they just didnt spot it on the way out but they saw it on my return flight. it wasnt a big deal, just took a few photocopies and i was on my way.
    he should probably get it renewed though, to be safe!
