    are there any wex shooting ranges? or gun clubs or whatnot?? a little info needed please !

    There is a club in Wexford that mostly does benchrest. I don't know if they have a range ot not, but I'll find out for you.

    Watch this space :D

    There's plenty in Wicklow though. ECSSC are in Arklow and Rathdrum are in (yes you've guessed it) - Rathdrum :D

    Not a huge drive from Wexford these days.

    More or less what it sounds like. The rifle is rested on a bench using a front and back rest and fired at a really tiny target. It's very hard to do in wind, so that's the skill element.

    Rifles are usually converted target rifles with heavy barrels and in .22 calibre.
