Sky+ Basic Installation difficult or messy?

I was thinking of getting Sky+ as a present for my parents. They have a Sky box already.
Am I right in thinking there isan extra cable needed for Sky+? Is the installer simply able to remove the existing wire coming through the wall and replace it with the new one or do extra holes have to be drilled?

I ask because the folks have had the room decorated recently and it wouldn't be much of a present to drill holes in the wall.

    it needs an extra cable.

Also the existing box can be used elsewhere for free with a 3rd cable for the BBC/ITV etc.

If there is a hole it might be big enough for 2 cables also a 2nd hole & cable is not anything like as noticeable as the 1st hole and cable :)

Just make sure the Installer tidies up properly.

Thanks for the info. I think the idea of a third cable will be shot down though.

Hopefully it'll go smoothly (for my sake).
