You haven't told us yours yet.

You haven't told us yours yet.

Well at the moment I'm into flying model planes and driving rc nitro cars. Also thinking of getting a kite.

Oh I'm building a go kart during the summer with a motorbike engine.

The go-kart thing is defo cool. The model planes are slightly geeky but some aspects of it are cool like being able to fix and maintain them yourself. I think it will be much cooler when I can fly bigger more powerful planes.....

The RC car is cool because it has a real engine, makes tons of noise and is unreal fast but slightly geeky aswell, maybe?

    You decide?

    Cool.

My favourite hobbies are sleeping with supermodels, driving fast cars and being rich.

They are pretty cool, but I don't really get to do them as often as I'd want to.

My hobby is pretty cool for me, but generally very sad for the people I do it to.

Dunno what that is tbh. A quick glance at google only reveals astronomy information.

The name alone is definitely sad though. Sounds like an amstrad game from the 80's.

My mate got plans and books off the internet somewhere. We're clearing a space in my garden to build it and have already sourced all the correct wood etc.

    Monitor our progress here.

Fair point, but it's about 8 foot by 20 foot so probably a few (we could certainly use it to transport motorbikes).

I certainly will. What's your timeframe?
    Costs involved?

Where's the picture of the projected finished product?

Timeframe is to try and get it seaworthy by September (but that probably won't happen).

Costs are fairly significant as the supplies are very specialist, but there's a good few of us involved so we're going to split the cost out between us. Hopefully won't be more than a few grand total.

    It's also called Q-Zar.

Quasar = laser tag - i.e. people shooting each other with low-powered lasers. You wear gear that will detect when you are hit etc and it keeps track of everyone's score. Surely you've heard about this? It was all the rage in the 90s :pac:

My hobbies are kung fu, horseriding, weightlifting, aerobics, reading medieval novels, visiting medieval sites and wearing medieval dresses. I think they're cool.

Oh I have actually played that. It was rubbish enough though. Surely that's just for kids with airsoft or paint balling being the adult equivalent.

You'd like bunratty castle and folk village. You can even go to a medieval banquet. I loved that place when I was there years ago and have always wanted to go back.

County Clare, come on the banner

Well in order of coolness, I shoot things, lift weights (crap at this though), play comp games and read fantasy fiction

Reading of any description is not cool.
Playing computer games is geeky unless your a child. The wii I suppose is probably an exception.

Regarding weightlifting...yeah that is cool but not the most vital element of it..eating! including taking vitamins, fruit and veg, green tea and all that. Having to go to bed early etc.

Usually eating healthily and your fruit and veg etc. is reserved for the puffs along with their eco responsibity and underpowered cars.

    .

Never said they were cool but I put them in order of popular coolness perception

Cool: snowboaring, mountain biking, playing lots of guitar
Not so cool: computer game addiction

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,738 ✭✭✭Naos

My favourite hobby is Guitar, so it would be cool, but considering I suck for the amount of time I've played, it should be deemed as uncool.

Hold on, reading is cool. Especially the knowledge that comes from reading; larger vocabulary, spelling, appreciation of a good yarn etc.
