A thread in which you can post your favourite last tunes/encores in any DJ set, mixtape, compilation etc.

    Some of my faves:

Cosmic Baby - Fantasia at the end of DJ Pressure House Pressure 3

The Jeyenne - Pippi at the end of Pressure's Gradiation mix (faster than the others)

DJ Scot Project - R (Rock), Yoji Biomehanika "Music For The Harder Generation" mix

Tony De Vit - I Don't Care, Global Underground Tel Aviv

The tune at the end of DJ Pressure's Flash mix (don't know the name). It was also Pressure's last tune at the 2fm Sessions tour, Easter Sat 2002.

Nice thread idea, I have always held a lot of importance over the first and last track of a set. I have actually spent ages at times over the years putting a set together and trying to decide the opening tune - then they only ever got played in my bedroom or parties!

Some that spring to mind for last tunes, mixed bag of styles...

Renegade Legion - The Weeping Waste

Van Basten - Magnetic King (no video on youtube, must sort that!)

Daft Punk - Da Funk (this was frequently played in the Temple of Sound as a closing tune, before it was in the charts so therefore still cool  )

Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth

Alison Limerick - Where Love Lives

    Jaydee - Plastic Dreams

The Cure - A Forest (Tree Mix) (This version not on youtube but not unlike the original)

Jump - Funkatarium (what a great tune - always had to pitch this right up though, flip side to this is unreal too)

The Prodigy - Skylined (I played as a last tune at a New Years party and everyone went mad, ended up having to play on for another while as a result)

As always with these threads, I could go on and on, but will stop for now :pac:

Oh and all time favourite to open a set -

Slam - Intensities (In Ten Cities)

Not up on youtube, presume as its over 10 mins long

Good thread. This was probably the best track that was pulled out at the end of the night around the time i played in Ziggy's.

A few other end of the nighters would have been Dj Misjah and Tim / Access or Underworld / Born slippy was another but the track above for me was the best.

How do you embed youtube videos?

Tony De Vit - I Don't Care, Global Underground Tel Aviv
Heh, that's exactly what I had in mind when I opened this thread...
Renegade Legion - The Weeping Waste
Always loved dropping Karim's cheeky remix of this (Port Douglas) at the end of a set, quality tune...

Can't really think of that many final tunes that stand out on cds or mix tapes, but can think of loads that I always love to drop at the end of a set myself.

    Equinox - The tradesman
    Weirdo - We decide
    OD404 - Beat dis/block party

Yeah that Playing with the Voices is a great tune, never got the (In Germany mix) though.

To embed - take the clip ID from the end of the youtube link (the letters etc after the = ) and wrap with [1youtube] before and [1/youtube] after but with no '1' - thats just there as you can't type that without it trying to show a youtube video, if you know what I mean!

It's a pitched up NRG remix, if that sort of thing doesn't sound offputting then definitely check it out, otherwise you're better off steering clear of Karim's trademark "pots & pans" sound:p

lot of hard house gett ing thrown out here.

first time i heard vitalic - la rock was as a last tune.. couldnt believe it..whole place went mental.

also, not quite a last song but loooove when dave clarke drops midfield general - coatnoise ( dave clarke mix).. anyone that knows that tune when he drops it goes mental.

last time he played tripod he dropped it..pure class.
