    Hi,

just wondering what type of a job an administrative officer (which is grade 7) is? I'm in the private sector so just wondering if I should apply for a vacancy at this level.

It pays well, but I'm concerned about moving to the public sector. According to the job spec, I know I'd manage all the aspects of it quite easily, but as a job, what do people make of it?

    Thanks,

    A

Ive been wondering about this recently as well.

I seen a post advertised for a grade VI Adminstative Assistant with the Local Council and was wondering whats the story behind the Grading system was and really could anybody with experience begin at a grade VI or VII like AlanD Asked above??

are you sure you're eligible? I think u need to be serving in a common recruitment pool organisation to apply at that level

when they advertise outside of the council, anyone can apply.

Hiring is strict enough in the public sector I believe, so to be seen to be fair, they sometimes advertise higher ranking positions outside the common pool. So anyone can apply then.

So anyone know anything about the job?
