He guys just getting into this and i've been pointed in the direction of the Nikon d50 or D40x, Which would you go for. Also i'm buying off ebay and there is deal with nikon lenses or tamron. Nikon lenses worth the extra little expense? i dont mind the price it's still in my range.

in the d40's price range, id rather go for a canon 400 D or 450 D. The camera is exellent, and in my eyes better than nikon, + the canon lenses are quite good.
