does anyone know of any shooting ranges in the galway area??

I just moved to Ireland and I'm trying to find a place to shoot or a game club in the last 3 weeks,I went to all gun and sport stores in town and only got a contact number from a club secretary ,made the call but maybe because my name or my " Broken" English he whose very reluctant,and told me "...I'm sorry I don't know you, I can Help you."
So I wish you better luck than I add, and if you can get in, in any club around here,maybe you could introduce me...
Would be very appreciated, because I'm almost giving up on the sport here in Ireland.:(

Sorry folks, don't know of any ranges in that area. You can check the boards wiki but the closest one I know of is the Lough Bo centre in Sligo.

There's also Midlands in Tullamore. Depends on where you are in Galway as to which is closer.

If it's a clay shooting range you want then Pat Donaghy's in Esker is your man. www.esker.ie

i want to find one in the dublin area..southside or in town would be best? i only know of places that are serious treks

Really the only place to shoot in Dublin in town is DURC. Unfortunately unless you're a student or alumnus of Trinity (or otherwise have DUCAC membership) you can't join.

Next nearest would be UCDRC out in Belfield, but similar caveats apply.

After that, I think BRC is the closest to town.
