A topic on Today FM yesterday pointed out that the England alone have 20% of the worlds CCTV cameras in operation all over the country, 6 million cameras watching compared to the 180 or so cameras a decade ago, hope it never gets to this level over here, you wouldnt be able to $h!^ in peace.

I installed a CCTV in my toilet when I realised the Government weren't watching me there (or are they?). Constant surveillance makes me feel important. Privacy is over-rated anyway. I for one think the OP has something to hide. Something evil.

If they can be used to put away the scumbag / addict / muggers who currently get let off because of a violin playing oscar winning plea to a jury involving a broken childhood and losing their teddy bear when they were two.

I think if the viciousness and cold blooded nature of some of the attacks were shown in court then it might influence some sentences in favour of actual punishment.

Had to do a study of the cameras on a street in London. There was like 20 or so. Madness!

EDIT: Should add that this was a small street with very few people
