Making shoes more supple - Kinsei's

Quick question, just got my second pair of Kinsei's, and got this pair a size bigger than the previous pair, due to nail problems. However, this pair is causing some abrasion just above the heel, which will eventually lead to some uncomfortable blisters... It's a slightly updated model to the previous Kinsei's I had, which didn't cause these problems.

Is there any way to make the material more supple just above where the shoe comes into contact with my heel? They're comfortable otherwise, and I've done about 50/60 miles, so they should be largely broken in.. Advice appreciated! Too late to exchange them!

Do you wear ankle socks? I had the same problem a few weeks ago when I wore ankle socks with mine. Try regular socks, or the ones that come to just above your ankle

Yeah, I alternate between a pair of middle distance running x-socks and some hilly blister socks, both of which reach just as far as the ankle..

I think I'll just grin and bear it, until the shoes have a few more miles on them, and hopefully they'll sort themselves out. Thanks..
