Hi, the gf and myself will be most likely moving out of dundrum, I was looking at Stepaside/Kilgobbin. I have a car but she doesn't, is there any decent transport links between the 2 areas? thanks for any replies!

I think the 44 bus is your only option.

The Luas will run from very near Stepaside when complete.

    Buses through Stepaside Village: 44 / 46B / 118

44 to Townsend Street (from Enniskerry) via Ballyogan, Sandyford Village, Dundrum, Milltown and Ranelagh (Route 44C goes to/from Ballyogan Estate only and not Stepaside Village).

46B to Mountjoy Square (from Belarmine) via Murphystown Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Mount Merrion, UCD Flyover, Donnybrook, Leeson Street (note - limited service - only SOME peak hour services to/from Belarmine)

118 to D'Olier Street (from Kilternan or Belarmine) via Murphystown Road, Brewery Road and Stillorgan QBC (again limited service)

    Buses close to Stepaside (Ballyogan Road): 44C / 115 / 117

The 117 also operates from Belarmine, Sandyford Village, Ballyogan Road, Carrickmines, Cornelscourt and the Stillorgan QBC to D'Olier Street.

The 115 operates from Ballyogan via Sandyford Village, Balally, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Stillorgan to Blackrock DART Station.

Both the 115 and 117 are also limited services.

The LUAS (when open in 2010) will serve Glencairn at Ballyogan Road, which is just under a mile from Stepaside.
