    Hi folks,
Received just now by email, the 1000 detail for the 10m AR Nationals tomorrow has been cancelled and merged with the 1200 detail. It's just that one detail, the rest of the match proceeds as scheduled. Those booked in should have gotten an email by now, this is just in case anyone was planning on turning up unannounced for 1000.

God be with the days when Sparks was PRO, you'd get the results practically real-time. Any sign of the results from the weekend's shooting?

Hmmm. I thought they'd be up by now allright. There were lots of photos taken and the whole match was shot on the megalinks.
Ray Kane (army) won the men's nationals, Susan Cunningham (WTSC) won the ladies and junior's medals.
The finals were fun - in the women's, the top three (Susan, Emma Lyons, Ciara Gaffney) all started on 377 and the order changed completely during the finals; and in the mens, Ray was safe on 570 at the start, but the next few were all within a point or two - 555, 553, 551, 550. And the lads in 5th and 6th going in shot right past the rest of us and up to 2nd and 3rd place - and the DURC chap in 3rd only started shooting in October...

Okay, these are pretty bad, coming from a cameraphone, but there are better ones on the way from people who brought decent cameras on the day.

The megalink electronic targets fed the scores in real time up to the computer and onto the projector for the spectators.

Indeed! So at least the Upcoming Events and This Weekends Events threads should now work as advertised again.

I wish to congratulate all our medal and prize winners and wish to thank all the competitors for taking part and helping to make this such an enjoyable event. I wish to thank also all the back room team who worked so hard to make the match such a success and ensured that everything worked smoothly. I wish to thank too the UCD Club for allowing us to use their excellent range. The new computer scoring target system is a joy to work with and I had to stop myself a few times from going around looking for batches of targets to be scored!
Again I wish to thank all the shooters for taking part and I am looking forward to working with all again in the near future.
