hey all

I am a equine science student at University of Limerick and i am doing my final year project on horse racing - basically its all about what motivates people to go racing and why maybe not so many young people go racing etc.
i would really appreciate any advice on where i could get good information for this. i have already contacted the H.R.I and i realise that they are the main body involved but does anyone know anywhere else that could provide me with relevant information??or if anyone has any good angles or ideas they think might work?!!!

What about surveying peple at point to points and racecurses?

Would be intersting to see if there are different results between the NH/p2p and the flat seasons!

Found this book an excellent and entertaining exploration of racing and racegoers, from a social perspective...it is written by a sociologist as far as I can remember..
