If I set up the old box in the kitchen would I need another card to have any channels or would I be able to get FTA ones without any card? (hope this makes sense) Sorry it this has been covered before!

FTA = no card (free to air, no encryption)
FTV = card, once off UK payment only to UK address, only needed Ch Five. (free to view, but encrypted)
PayTV = Card. pay monthly and some pay per view.

Only Cable/MMDS needs subscription for every box. Free channels on Satellite are allowed.

    Go 501 (Sky News)
    press RED
    wait till interactive loads
take out card and DO NOT reinsert
    press backup

    WAIT

then go guide or browse. You will see BBC3, BBC4 (night time) and all the ITV and BBC Radio.

Put card back in to revert to Irish program guide and Pay channels
