Windswept balcony - Can a wind turbine power my telly?

Have a real interest in sustainable energy , but no room for solar panels - first floor apartment - but I do have a balcony which is exposed to strong winds , most of the time. I'd like to try and run one or some of my appliances off a sustainable source, if only to learn how this technology works or may be modified. My tv sits just inside the balcony, would it be possible to power it using a small turbine on the balcony?

    Cheers

I don't think small wind turbines work well in urban environments. Too much turbulence.

You will have to turn up the volume of the TV to loud because of the noise of the turbine on the balcony

find out the wattage of the TV
find out how big / how much a turbine for topping batteries on a boat costs for three times that wattage ( for slow days )
add in costs of backup battery and inverter

It won't work in urban areas unless you put a turbine on top of the highest building. I saw a website recently where an american bought a bit of land in arizona. There was no electricty there as it was very remote so he made his own wind turbine that charges batteries to power his razor, laptop and charge his mobile phone.
