Had to watch CSI AND Entourage ;)
Damn it anyways, I've it on tape but don't know wheter to watch it or not. Part 1 of the story is the 6th episode of CSI season 8 and RTE still have 5 episodes left of season 7.
God knows when these will be shown  with the return of Lost next week :D

wow that's a lot of tv programmes in one post!!haha.. im refusing to watch lost anymore just gonna by the boxsets when they all come out( by the time its finished ill prob be finished college travelled, and probably settled with a job so ill be able to afford it)
yea i read about it before but i only realised half way through that he was in it cause i was only half watching it, i thought i was after changing channels by accident or something..
i think you're better off waitin i would of liked to see the csi one first and then the without a trace, not because you'd be lost or anything just because i would of liked to seen the full thing you know..

Generally crossovers don't cause the audience to have to watch the 2 shows. The episode in Without A Trace will look like an episode of Without A Trace (as seen by their characters) while the CSI episode will look like CSI (as seen by their characters). At least that's what they did with Ally McBeal and The Practice.

It was a good crossover, especially since crossovers can be fairly dodgy.

And without a trace is just a better show than CSI as well.

This is the case quite often which annoys me, I prefer relevant crossovers. I think here it's the conclusion of a 2 part story just as it was when CSI: Miami & CSI:NY did it. If you watch the 2nd one but not the first you won't get the full story why the crossover is happening just as if you watch the first one only you would never get to see how the case is resolved.
Sorry for my rant, still haven't decided if I will watch it. Stupid RTE scheduling

Just idly thinking on this - what's the biggest show universe?

The various Trek series, with crossover potential, come in at 28 (29 if you include the animated series).

    CSI franchises - 8 (Vegas) + 6 (Miami) + 4 (NY) - added to "Without a Trace" (6) bring it to a mere 24 shared universe seasons.

The David E. Kelly world seem to share the same "world" - so that's Ally McBeal (5), The Pratice (7), Boston Public (4) and Boston Legal (4) - 19 only really. I'm not sure if any of his other series co-exist in this world? Actually if you include Munch you can also rope in "Arrested Development" and "The X-Files" and thus, by extension, Millennium and The Lone Gunmen.

Biggest I know of then is the Law & Order world - Law & Order (18), Law & Order: SVU (9), Law & Order: CI (7), Law & Order: Trial By Jury (1) - and then there's Homicide: Life on the Street (7) for a mega 42 season universe.

There's a nice big list here actually... someone's done all this work before.

Detective John Munch. Played by Richard Belzer. Originally in the excellent "Homicicde:Life on the Street", he's turned up in loads of TV shows
