Trade in value vs Private Sale price

    Hi Guys

    If someone was offered say €2,500 on trade in for a 7 year old car 36,000 miles on the clock (genuine), well maintained, had one smack but has been repaired by the manufacturer, what could they reasonably expect to get in a private sale.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
