lost file recovery

    ok well i have lost a word document that i need. What happened was seems i was saving it onto a hard drive that had no space.So i have lost all but 400 words.the auto save was also to the full hd and there is no recent documents or recovered files as it seems my brother was doing some "cleaning up" on that drive and they all seem to be gone.He doesn't give a sh*t so no help there either .

    Anyone know if the files would be retrievable as i have no idea how to go about this .Any help appreciated.

    check the recycle bin first. There are a good few undelete tools available for windows also. That'd be a good starting point.

    mate i bought a program ive used for the same thing called recover my files.
    ive paid and used this .
    so your more than welcome to have the software . completly legit . not downloaded cracked etc.

    Thanks for the help.Have checked the recycle bin and all that.Honestly i think i just made a mess of it and I didn't save it anywhere there was space and that i got at it through word recovering the document.It didn't dawn on me that it wasn't saving properly and I thought that i just opened the wrong doc .But now thats gone.
    I don't know if that was a temp file and it was deleted by CC cleaner which he used or what happened but it's not around anymore

    Have tried a few recovery programs Data Recovery, Pc inspector file recovery,and recuva and got nothing I'm trying recuva deep scan now but i'm not holding much hope for it at this point .If that doesn't work ill try recovermyfiles redfan.Seems to be becoming a bit of a lost cause at this stage.Is it most likely completely gone? Should i just stop wasting my time and start the thing again ?
