mate has a netopia 2247nwg with dead spots in house, has anyone used a range expander (repeater) successfully with this model router. or maybe an omni directional high gain antenna?

Yes i'm using this http://www.elara.ie/products/detailsfull.asp?productcode=ECE1222363 for this very purpose at the moment. Does the job well for me.
