I have 19E set at about 15 degrees, 28E is probably a little more. On 28E, if you're getting Film24, Movies4Men and Zone Horror at more than 70%, then that's probably as good as you're going to get - I find these 3 the weakest at pulling in.

You rotate the LNB SLOWLY while observing quality.

Due south sats are approx |
Eastern sats are / (looking at back of LNB)
    Western sats are \

As you go further east or west of south, the twist is more. A polar mount does it automatically, the dish appears to tilt a lot by time it is at 42E

A few satellites have inherent polarisation out of alignment with rest, they will be poorer on a motorised system on less it has a co-rotator and per satellite remote controlled Skew.

Thanks watty for message yesterday. I don't know if i am replying in the right page or not. I think that I probably should leave it alone as i am getting a good few channels , but what i can't understand is that bbc24 news is not coming in. The quality and intensity are 73% and 90% and yet there is no picture or sound. ITV 2 is also weak and now i understand that the rain does affect reception. The Lidl dish I have is 57cm and i live in Cork city

Delete BBC24 and rescan. The internal codes have changed.

57 cm is minimum size. 65 is better, 80 best. But alignment is critcal.

Hi deleted BBC24 news and BBC parliment and ran an automatic scan They could not be found on Astra 28 . I know i could use the default key and get them back but would loose all my settings which took a couple of hours to do. Thanks again but i will have to live without them.

Add them manually, you won't lose anything,

Hi Watty , You probably got my pte. message but I would like to let you know that i would like to enter the figures you gave me but i will tell you what my menu showed up. T P Scan....Sat Astra 28.2e TPIndex 43/86 TP Frequency 11954 MHz, Symbol Rate 27500 Ks/s Polarity H Scan Mode All, ; Search When Searched : answer No Programm found LNB 10600 TP Freq. 11954 MHz Symbol Rate 27500 : When I altered the TP Freq. the TP Index also altered itself. This will tell you that I do not know or understand a lot about the Satellite that I am receiving. Is there a Site which I could look up that is not too confusing and learn a little more about receiving satelitte stations. THANK YOU
