anybody pick up a copy of this yet. i got it on Saturday and have only had the chance to listen to it once and i have to say i'm not overly impressed so far. Most of the production is handled by Madlib, theres a couple of other beats by Mr Porter, the late Dilla and Black Milk also have beats on here to. don't get me wrong its not a bad album by any measure, its just that nothing really jumps out and grabs ur attention, on the first listen any way. its a real shame because i had high hopes for dude, some of his guest appearances have been exceptional and i absolutely love his colabo with Dilla, "Mans World" i hope the album does grow on me, but for now its not looking good!

The advance I heard was cack. Second rate production and boring MC'ing.

Jay you should check out Black Spade's To Serve With Love. Basically the best Hip-Hop album I've heard this year and very similarly to Common vocally.

I started a thread on this a while ago here.

I have to say it is a terribly disappointing album from an artist who was highly rated and had some top notch producers to work with.

I also saw Guilty live at The Village in February and he was very disappointing. He has no stage presence (unlike One Be Lo who was on before him) and he mumbled through his quick set like he didn't want to be there.

To quote from Flavor Flav: "Don't believe the hype" :pac:
